Excavator delivery and pickup
Choose delivery or ask about customer collection by appointment for an eligible K008-3, U17-3 or U25-3. Delivery, collection and towing requirements depend on the machine and hire location.
The 5.5T Yanmar ViO55-6B is different: it requires suitable flatbed-truck transport and is not available for customer collection.

Important: towing capacity is only one part of the collection check. We also confirm the complete towing combination, driver, brake controller, licence, insurance declaration and collection arrangement before the booking is finalised.
Delivery and collection
Standard delivery and collection for eligible plant-trailer machines are $150 within approximately 20 km where applicable, with longer distances quoted individually.
Tell us the job location when you call or SMS so we can confirm the transport price, delivery window and site access. For delivered hires, Digger2Hire retains the trailer, so you do not need to tow the machine during the hire.
The 5.5T ViO55-6B requires suitable flatbed-truck transport. Delivery and collection are quoted according to the job location.
Customer collection requirements
Customer collection may be available by appointment from the applicable Digger2Hire location. Choose your hire location so we can show the relevant collection point.
- K008-3 and U17-3: tow vehicle rated to at least 2,500 kg braked towing capacity
- U25-3: tow vehicle rated to at least 3,500 kg braked towing capacity
- A compatible, functioning electric brake controller
- A current full open driver licence
- A comprehensively insured tow vehicle, with the customer confirming they have checked that their insurance remains valid for the proposed towing arrangement and covers their potential liability relating to the hired trailer, excavator and attachments
- Your physical driver licence shown at handover
Meeting the minimum tow rating does not automatically make a towing combination acceptable. We confirm the exact vehicle, machine, trailer and collection arrangement before the hire is approved for customer collection.
A straightforward handover
We work out delivery, pickup and return timing with you at booking within reason. Before the machine is released, we confirm your ID, complete the hire agreement electronically on our tablet, go through the equipment and take payment. Your signed agreement is emailed to you on the spot.
