Kubota U17-3 from $250 per day
The 1.7T Kubota U17-3 is our Brisbane flagship and the best starting point for most residential excavation jobs. It retracts to approximately 990 mm wide for compact access and expands to 1,240 mm where the site allows.
The U17-3 can suit residential trenching, drainage, landscaping, retaining-wall preparation, post holes and light site preparation where its access, reach and digging capability match the job. It is not suitable for access routes narrower than approximately 990 mm, and the complete route still needs enough clearance for the machine to move and turn safely.
Low overhead access: The U17-3 canopy is designed to be removable where extra height clearance is needed, which can help when passing under some carports, patios and other covered areas. For safety, the canopy should be refitted once the machine has passed through the low-clearance area and before normal excavation work continues.

Cannon Hill collection by appointment
Cannon Hill is Digger2Hire’s genuine Brisbane operating and collection base. It is not a staffed walk-in hire depot, so collection must be arranged and approved beforehand.
Customer collection depends on the confirmed machine and trailer. For the U17-3, the tow vehicle must be rated to at least 2,500 kg braked towing capacity. A compatible functioning electric brake controller, current full open driver licence and comprehensive insurance are also required. We confirm the exact vehicle and collection arrangement before the booking is finalised.

Delivery is usually the easier option
Delivery and collection are available for $150 within approximately 20 km where applicable, with longer distances quoted individually. Delivery is the usual option where practical because we can bring the machine and attachments to the job and normally retain the plant trailer during the hire unless otherwise agreed beforehand.
That also means you do not need to organise a suitable towing setup simply to use the excavator.
